The podcast for the hotel and restaurant industry.

Employee retention starts with the job advertisement, continues with the first telephone call, the job interview, etc.

But does the employee who comes to my hotel for a job interview really fit in with my team?

Do we share similar values and ideas?

And can he or she identify with our philosophy?

As a business and systemic coach and a long-time executive, I am familiar with the pitfalls and challenges of finding the right fit between an employee and a hotel. Many employees are hired by companies based on their résumés, and promises are made in the job posting and/or during the interview. Whether those promises are kept is another matter.

Stay authentic, show your vulnerability, and be fair and reliable toward your employees—because deep down, that’s exactly what you’d want from your new employees: fairness and reliability. In life, many things are a matter of give and take, and the same goes for recruiting, engaging, and retaining employees.

GOLD _ your podcast with _ VALUE

There are many ways to retain employees, and at goldWERT, we offer several options. One of them is a podcast episode about your philosophy, your values, your intrinsic aspirations, the kind of employees you’re looking for, and where your company is headed. The episode will cover many aspects that aren’t visible on your website, social media channels, or in job postings—but rather, the things that make your company unique—to help you find the right fit with your future employees.

If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know and get in touch with me, Kathrin von GOLDWERT, or check out the episodes of my podcast GOLD _ your podcast with _ WERT, which focuses on the hotel and restaurant industries.

Podcast as an employer branding tool.

This industry is the best we have. Unfortunately, however, it still doesn't fare well when it comes to employee satisfaction. That's one of the reasons I launched the podcast GOLD—your podcast with value for the hospitality and restaurant industry.
