Old walls meet simple elegance.
This old building has a charm that is incomparable. As you enter the front door, Katharina or one of her receptionists greets you with a genuine smile. This positive vibe radiates throughout the house, down to the lake (99 steps to the hotel's own lake section) and onto "La Terrazza" (the restaurant). This sunny disposition quickly makes you feel at home. On top of this, there are 12 individual rooms, which are decorated with rustic ornaments and invite you to relax.
You should not miss the opportunity to do a wine tasting with the "landlady". Katharina does this in her own unique way with straightforwardness and elegance. Enjoyment is definitely not neglected - at the hotel's own lakeside property or over a delicious dinner.
The refined and elegant style of the hotel is accentuated 200% by the heartfelt selection of staff. From the very beginning, Katharina and Jan have understood how to get like-minded people on board. The enjoyment of the guests, the shared fun and the curiosity to try out new things is part of the concept, as is the high-quality cuisine and the breakfast served, which I consider to be one of the best in the world.
The Pension Leuchtenburg, on the quieter side of Lake Kaltern, is an absolute gem filled with pleasure, relaxation and lightness. However, Katharina and Jan are not only your extremely pleasant hosts there.
Italian flair paired with super-charming and cheerful people can be found a little south of Lake Kaltern in Ora, Italian for Ora, with lots of Amore.

The Italian flair is not only evident in the lemon trees and palm trees, but also in the bartender Bruno, who doesn't speak German. He speaks Italian, English and "humanity" and creates unique drinks that are absolutely not off the peg.
Why completely renovate everything?
That's what Katharina and Jan asked themselves when they looked at this house in the center of Auer. The individually designed rooms are equipped with very high-quality furniture, not from 2025, but that definitely adds to the charm of the house, along with the beautiful garden and pool.
The delicious breakfast buffet and Italian coffee are a must. Katharina and Jan still can't agree on where the better coffee is, at the Hotel Amadeus - Ora & Amore or at the Pension Leuchtenburg.
The people are definitely what make Hotel Amadeus - Ora & Amore what it is, as well as trying out different formats to encourage guests to have fun and enjoy themselves. Weddings, pool parties and balmy summer nights are all celebrated in the hotel with its 38 rooms and suites. Sports are not neglected with the "Sala Giochi", just like the cinema with the "Sala Cinema", which is very popular on rainy days.
The Hotel Amadeus - Ora & Amore welcomes both sporty and pleasure-loving people. Families, friends and other groups who want to have a good time together.
